Medical Laboratory Scientist by day, woodworker by night. I learned how to use a scroll saw at a young age. I spent many hours cutting on scrap pieces of wood, using pre-made patterns and making my own designs. Eventually, I developed a skill, and I started giving away my creations to family and friends. Christmas ornaments are my favorite to make, each year I would select one pattern and cut out about 30 ornaments and give to my family and friends... spreading joy to others.
I don't use fancy computer programming to cut out designs. Call me old school, but I prefer the handmade method! Making one of a kind, custom designs are my favorite.
My rescue dog Bella is my shop supervisor. She loves keeping me company while I work and is often found in her corner of the woodshop, snoozing in her dog bed or playing with her toys. Bella takes her job seriously as the supervisor, ensuring at least one snack break occurs. She enjoys documenting the progress and approval of final products by including herself in many of the pictures.
It's always been a dream of mine to start my own professional woodworking business, but life kind of got in the way... college, career, remodeling my house, the usual! I'm finally at a point in my life that I can start up a part time business. Thank you for supporting my dream.
I know life is not a fairytale, but I hope my work brings you joy as you use each piece. May it be a reminder that good triumphs bad, magical moments can happen, and occasionally, life can be enchanted.
